의왕시 어린이집연합회 가정분과(분과장 김문숙)가 지난 10월 21일 저소득층 지원을 위한 성금 300만원을 의왕시에 기부했다. 이날 기부한 성금은 어린이집연합회 가정분과에서 진행한 ‘엄마, 아빠 함께 놀아요!’ 행사 물품판매 수익금과 의왕시의 소규모 가정어린이집 원장들의 후원금으로 마련했다. 성금은 경기사회복지공동모금회를 통해 지역 의왕시 관내 취약계층에게 지원될 예정이다.
어린이집연합회 김문숙 가정분과장은 “어려운 이웃들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되고자 원장님들과 마음을 모았다”며 “지역사회의 어려운 분들이 힘을 얻고 희망을 찾으시기를 바란다”고 말했다.
김성제 의왕시장은 “따뜻한 마음을 모아주신 어린이집 학부모님들과 원장님들께 감사드리며, 시에서도 나눔 문화 확산을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
