[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주의 10월 축제인 진주남강유등축제, 개천예술제, 코리아드라마페스티벌이 대한민국 최고의 축제도시 위상을 떨치고 3일 대단원의 막을 내렸다.
3년 만에 정상 개최된 올해 10월 축제는 더 새롭고 다양해진 프로그램과 더 넓은 축제장소로 축제를 기다려온 많은 시민과 관광객의 호응을 얻으며 대한민국 최고의 축제로서 또한 ‘2022 세계축제도시’로서의 위상을 다시 한 번 확인할 수 있는 계기가 됐다.
특히 진주남강유등축제는 태풍, 호우 등 계절적 영향을 최소화하고 진주대첩 승전일을 기념하는 등 축제 정체성 확립을 위해 10월 10일 진주시민의 날을 시작으로 10월 31일까지 22일간 개최해 관람객 밀집을 최소화 하고 평일은 전시형, 주말은 공연 위주의 운영으로 안전하고 성공적인 축제로 이끌었다.

이번 진주남강유등축제는 더 넓어진 축제구역으로 유등유람선 체험, 미디어아트 갤럭시쇼, 앵두터널 등 다양하고 새로운 콘텐츠로 채워져 많은 관람객의 발길을 모았다.
올해 특별콘텐츠로 선보인 멀티미디어 불꽃쇼, 드론라이트쇼와 미디어아트 갤럭시쇼는 많은 관람객들의 호응을 이끌어 내기에 충분했다.

71회 개천예술제는 재탄생의 원년으로 삼고 진주대첩 재현행사, 제15회 전국가장행렬경진대회, 예술경연대회, 진주성 체험행사, 각종 전시, 축하 행사를 비롯한 불꽃놀이 등 총 11개 부문 67개 행사가 11월 3일까지 8일간 진주시 일원에서 다채롭게 펼쳐졌다.
