13일 오후부터 대설·한파주의보가 발효됨에 따라 천안시가 비상대응을 위한 재난안전대책본부가 가동됐다.
시는 대설 한파 주요 관계부서를 중심으로 재난안전대책본부 1단계를 13일 오후 2시부터 운영 중이며, 관계부서와 읍면동에서는 대설주의보 및 한파주의보가 해제될 때까지 비상근무 체계를 유지하고 대설·한파 피해 최소화에 주력하고 있다.
앞서 시는 지난 12일 행정안전부 재난안전관리본부장 주재로 시청 영상회의실에서 대설·한파대비 긴급대책회의를 참석하고 대설·한파대책 추진상황 등을 점검했다.
13일에는 기온강하로 인한 출근시간 교통 혼잡을 최소화하기 위해 제설장비와 인력을 투입해 오전 4시~6시 반까지 사전살포 작업을 실시했다.
또 낮에도 저녁 퇴근 시간대 강설을 대비해 사전 제설작업을 시행하는 등 강설에 적극 대응하고 있다.
이후 지속되는 강설과 밤사이 기온 강하로 도로결빙이 우려됨에 따라 오후 19시~24시 3차 제설작업과 출근 시간 전 도로결빙 예방 및 차량통행에 불편함이 없도록 14일 새벽 3시부터 제설제를 사전 살포할 예정이다.
또 시는 한파 취약계층 안부확인 1,500명, 한파쉼터 702개소 운영, 동파 방지 행동요령 홍보, 농·축산물 피해예방 안내 등 대설·한파 피해 최소화에 힘을 쏟고 있다.
