[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시가 28일‘제5회 대한민국 주거복지문화대상’에서 최우수 기관으로 선정됐다.
대한민국 주거복지문화대상은 지난 2018년부터 아름다운 주거복지공동체를 만들기 위해 노력하는 단체와 기관에 기여한 성과를 평가해 시상하는 권위 있는 상이다.
주거복지문화대상 평가는 주거복지전문가 및 시민사회 활동가 7명으로 구성된 심사단에서 기본 공통부문과 특성화부문 항목을 종합적으로 평가한다.
진주시의 평가 주요 내용으로는 고령자 복지주택 건설사업, 새뜰마을 집수리 지원사업, 도시재생 뉴딜사업, 농어촌 장애인 주택개조사업, 저소득층 주거환경개선사업 등이 있다.
시는 고령자들의 주거문제 해결뿐만 아니라 노인복지시설과 국·공립 어린이집 확충, 청년주택 18호도 포함돼 지역사회 융화 및 생애주기 통합형 고령자 복지사업으로 인정받았다.
