브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차그룹이 2023년 세계경제포럼(WEF, World Economic Forum) 연차총회, 일명 ‘다보스포럼’이 열리는 스위스 다보스에서 2030 부산세계박람회 유치 지원에 힘을 보탠다.
다보스포럼은 각국의 저명한 정치인, 기업인, 학자 등이 모여 범세계적 경제 문제에 관해 토론하고 발전 방안을 모색하는 민간 주최 회의다. 포럼 기간 동안 국가간 협력을 비롯한 다양한 국제 이슈에 대한 대안 및 해법 등이 논의되는 만큼 전 세계의 이목이 집중된다.
현대차그룹은 16일(현지시간)부터 20일까지 다보스에서 2030 부산세계박람회 홍보 문구가 랩핑 된 차량 58대를 운영, 다보스포럼 참석을 위해 모인 각국 주요 인사 및 현지인, 관광객들을 대상으로 세계박람회 개최 후보지인 부산 알리기에 나선다고 밝혔다.
특히, 현대차그룹은 ‘세계의 대전환, 더 나은 미래를 향한 항해’를 주제로 지속가능한 미래를 모색하는 부산세계박람회 비전에 맞춰 다보스포럼에 제네시스 G80 전동화 모델 18대, GV60 8대, GV70 전동화 모델 4대, 현대차 싼타페 플러그인 하이브리드(PHEV) 15대 등 친환경차 45대를 투입한다.
현대차그룹이 지원한 차량은 한국 주요 기업 대표단 등의 전용 차량으로 제공돼 행사 일정 진행에 활용되고, 동시에 다보스 시내를 오가며 자연스럽게 부산세계박람회를 알릴 것으로 보인다.
싼타페 PHEV는 다보스 시내 주요 행사장, 기차역, 숙소 지역 등을 순회하는 셔틀로서 포럼 참석자들에게 편의를 제공할 예정이다. 싼타페 PHEV 셔틀은 한국 주관 행사에 참석하는 사람들이 이용할 수 있다.
현대차그룹은 겨울철 현지의 기상 변화와 긴급 상황에 대비한 안전 관리 방안도 마련했다. 차량 안전을 전담하는 기술팀이 상주하도록 하는 한편, 포럼에 지원된 차량에 AWD(상시 4륜 구동) 시스템 및 겨울용 타이어를 적용했다.
