[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 16일 오후 도청 도정회의실에서 남해군, 남선개발㈜와 함께 투자유치특별도를 본격적으로 실현하고 남해안의 관광산업을 선도하기 위한 ‘남해 라이팅 아일랜드 조성사업 투자협약’을 체결했다.
이날 협약식은 박완수 도지사, 장충남 남해군수, 정윤성 남선개발㈜ 대표이사, 임태식 남해군의회의장, 공성식 모멘트펙토리 개발담당 이사, 주한 퀘벡정부 대표부 대표와 상무 부대표 등 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
경남도는 올해 관광산업 분야의 민간 1호 투자협약으로 남해안의 관광산업 활성화 추진에 대한 성장동력을 마련하고, 실내·외 복합형 루미나 시설인 ‘라이팅 아일랜드’를 세계 최초로 구축하게 됨으로써 글로벌 경제력까지 갖추게 됐다.
