[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김선민 창원특례시 마산합포구청장이 지난 18일 시내버스 정류장 신설 및 버스 배차 간격 조정 등을 요청하는 민원 해소를 위해 직접 시내버스에 탑승해 시민들과 소통하며 경청했다.
김 구청장은 버스를 직접타고 경험해보니 어르신을 위해 주신 민원은 꼭 필요한 시설로 해당 부서에 통보해 조속히 해결되도록 했다.
평소, 마산합포구 자산동 팔도맨션, 행정복지센터 주변에 정류장이 없고, 인접 정류장과의 거리도 460m 정도 떨어져 있어, 노인 인구도 많고 경사가 심한 지형적 특성상 팔도맨션 및 행정복지센터 주변에 정류소를 신설해 달라는 민원이 꾸준히 제기되어 왔다. 뿐만 아니라, 해당 순환버스의 배차간격(35분)이 너무 길어 출퇴근 시간 버스 이용에 불편이 많다는 시민들의 불만도 끊이지 않았다.
