국가철도공단이 전국 551개 철도 건설현장에 대한 전수조사와 전담TF 합동점검을 통해 총 21건의 불법행위를 적발했다고 2일 밝혔다.

공단은 이번에 적발된 불법행위에 대해 피해현황 확인을 거쳐 법과 원칙에 따라 엄중 조치한다는 계획이다.
공단은 그동안 업체 피해와 비조합원에 대한 공정한 채용 기회 상실 등 사회 문제를 야기해왔다고 보고 지속적으로 단속해 나갈 것으로 알려졌다.
특히 공기 지연에 따른 철도사업 개통 차질 등 대국민 피해가 큰 점을 감안해 상시 신고시스템 구축과 불법행위 대응 가이드라인 마련 등 불법, 불공정 행위를 뿌리 뽑기 위한 상시적인 점검 활동에 나서기로 했다.
국가철도공단 김한영 이사장은 “건설현장 불법행위는 근로자와 영세업체의 생존과 안전을 위협하고 결국 국민의 피해로 이어질 수 있다”며, “앞으로 불법행위가 적발될 시 관련법에 따라 엄벌할 수 있도록 강경하게 조치할 것”이라고 말했다.
