충남도와 교류를 이어가고 있는 중국 장수성 사절단이 3년 만에 충남도를 방문했다.
충남도는 10일 그동안 코로나19로 중단됐던 중국 13개 교류지역 중 장수성 사절단이 충남도를 공식 방문해 기존 협력분야와 신규 협력 방안을 논의했다고 밝혔다.
장수성 사절단과 충남도는 이날 환경행정교류회의 ,수소산업 ,언더2 연합 ,지방정부 교류회의 ,통상·무역 협력 확대 ,독립운동사를 매개체로 한 민간공공외교 추진 ,자매지역 격상 등에 대해 논의를 했다고 밝혔다.
충남도는 이날 장수성 일대에서 활약한 충남도 출신 독립운동가를 매개체로 독립운동 역사공유 활동도 펼치기로 했으며, 의회 및 스포츠, 농업, 관광, 여성 단체 등 분야별 교류협력을 확대키로 했다.
양 기관은 또 2025년 양 지역 교류 20주년을 앞두고, 우호교류 관계를 자매지역으로 격상하는 방안에 대해서도 의견을 교환했다고 밝혔다.
충남도는 이번 장수성과의 교류 재개 뿐만 아니라 최근 중국의 경제활동 재개(리오프닝)에 따라 올해 맞이하는 상하이 교류 15주년 ,윈난성 교류 10주년 ,쓰촨·랴오닝성 교류 5주년 등 주요 이슈에 맞춰 실리적 지방외교 기조에 근간한 다양한 프로그램을 추진할 계획이다.
