제7대 신임 세종소방본부장으로 장거래 소방준감이 취임했다.
13일 세종시에 따르면 신임 장 본부장은 충남 연기군 연동면(현 세종시) 출생으로 충남대학교 행정학과를 졸업 후 1995년 소방간부후보생 8기로 소방에 입문했다.
이후 충남 천안·서산소방서, 울산 남부·중부소방서, 경북 상주·김천소방서, 소방방재청 중앙119구조단 등 중앙·지방에서 재난현장 업무를 맡아 왔다.
재직중에는 충남대학교 국가정책대학원에서 정책학 석사과정을 수료했으며, 경북소방학교장, 소방청 119종합상황실 총괄담당관, 소방청 119생활안전과장을 역임하며 소방정책의 기획 능력을 발휘했다.
또 2021년 2월 소방준감으로 승진, 충북소방본부장을 재직하며 재난현장 지휘와 조직관리 능력을 인정 받아왔다.
2012년에는 세종소방본부 출범시 준비단 팀장으로 활동했으며 2012년 8월 지방소방정으로 승진 한 후 2015년 8월까지 3년 1개월간 세종소방본부 소방행정과장을 역임하면서 세종소방의 필요 인력·장비 확보와 조직 안정화에 큰 성과를 거뒀다.
장 본부장은 “창조와 도전의 미래전략수도로 발돋움하고 있는 세종특별자치시의 위상에 맞게 화재와 사고 예방대책, 그리고 적극적 대응책에 역점을 두겠다”라며 소감을 밝혔다.
