세종시교육청, 안전한 과학실 마련을 위해 협력 구축

화학물질로부터 안전한 과학실 마련을 위한 두 기관 협약이 14일 있었다.

세종교육청과 한국환경공단 충청권환경본부는 이날 3층 상황실에서 협약식을 갖고 안전확보 마련에 들어갔다. 이날 협약식에는 최교진 교육감, 신명석 본부장 등 관계자 9명이 참석했다.

협약에 따라 두 기관은 화학물질관리법에 따른 과학실 취급시설 기준 안전 컨설팅, 화학물질 취급 시 주의사항 및 실험실 안전수칙 등 학교 과학실의 안전확보를 위해 협력한다.

지역내 학교 과학실험실 안전 현장점검에 한국환경공단 충청권환경본부가 참여해 매년 15개교의 과학실을 대상으로 화학물질 보관상태, 과학실 시설·장비 적정 설치 여부 등 전문적인 현장 안전점검 컨설팅을 수행할 예정이다.

김동호 미래교육과장은 ”탐구·실험 중심의 과학수업을 더욱 활성화하기 위해서는 안전한 과학실 환경 조성이 꼭 필요하다“라며, ”한국환경공단 충청권환경본부와 함께 전문적인 과학실 안전점검 실시하여 학교 과학실의 최적관리와 안전확보를 지원하겠다“라고 말했다.
