안양시가 시민안전보험을 개편해 상해 의료비까지 확대했다고 지난 3월 15일 밝혔다. 기존 보장항목은 재난·재해 사망 및 후유장해에 국한돼 있었다.
안양시는 일상생활 중 예상하지 못한 각종 사고 및 재난으로부터 피해를 입은 시민의 생활 안정을 위해 지난 2020년 3월부터 시민안전보험에 가입하고 있다.
모든 안양시민은 별도의 가입절차 없이 시민안전보험에 자동 가입돼 혜택을 받을 수 있으며, 등록 외국인 및 거소등록 동포도 포함된다. 개인보험 가입 여부에 관계없이 중복으로 보상받을 수 있다.
이달 1일부터는 상해사고로 의료비가 발생한 경우 자기부담금 3만원만 내면 200만원 한도 내에서 △응급비용 △치료비 △수술비 △입원비 △X선 검사비 등 의료비를 보장받을 수 있다.
상해사고 사망 장례비도 2,000만원 한도 내에서 지급받을 수 있으며, 자전거 상해사고 항목도 추가돼 이달 23일부터는 4주 이내의 자전거 상해사고 치료비도 보장된다.
다만 △질병, 노환 △교통사고(어린이·노인 보호구역 교통사고는 보장) △비급여 항목 △건강보험공단 부담 의료비 등의 경우에는 보험금 지급이 제한된다.
보험금은 사고 발생일로부터 3년 이내에 청구할 수 있으며, 청구 양식 및 필요서류는 시 홈페이지를 참조하거나 하나손해보험(☎1566-3000)로 문의하면 된다.
