세종시의회 행정복지위원회는 28일 본회의 폐회 직후 행정복지위원장실에서 집행부와 간담회 자리를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이날 간담회는 행정복지위원회 위원 전원과 최민호 세종시장, 행정·경제 양 부시장이 참석한 가운데, 최근 보류된 ‘문화재단 설립 및 운영에 관한 조례 일부개정조례안’에 대한 의견을 비롯해 허심탄회한 대화를 나누며 향후 진행방향에 대해 논의했다.

이 자리에서 위원들은 지난 제81회 임시회 기간 중 조례안을 심사하는 과정에서 5년간 79억 원의 시민혈세가 소요되는 중요한 사안임에도 집행부에서 예산내역과 조례안 개정에 따른 관광 분야의 방향성을 구체적으로 제시하지 않고 단순히 행사에만 치중하였음을 지적하며 조례의 보류를 결정한 것이라 말했다.

또, 보류를 결정하면서 집행부가 계획을 보완해 오면 정례회 기간 중 다시 논의를 통해 결정하기로 의견을 모았음에도 불구하고 계획 보완 없이 일방적으로 임시회 소집을 요구한 것에 대해 안타까움을 표하면서 조속한 시일에 구체적인 계획을 수립해 보완할 것을 주문했다.

행정복지위원회 임채성 위원장은 “조례안 심사가 정당 간의 대립으로 비추어져서는 안 되며, 세종시의 발전과 시민의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 의안이 처리되도록 하겠다”고 말했다.

이에 최민호 시장은 “행정복지위원회에서 요청한 사항에 대해 조속히 제출토록 실무진에게 지시 하겠다”고 화답했다.

한편, 간담회를 통해 집행부와 행정복지위원회는 시민에게 온전히 돌아갈 수 있는 관광정책을 마련하자는 데 힘을 모으기로 합의했다.
