국가철도공단이 ‘철도분야 집중안전점검에 나서기로 했다.
17일 공단에 따르면 점검은 50년 이상 노후화된 교량·터널, 화재발생 시 취약한 역사 등 철도시설물 105개와 철도운행선 인접 공사 현장 40곳이 대상이다. 기간은 4월 17일부터 6월16일까지 점검이 진행된다.
공단은 전문적인 점검을 위해 철도공단, 한국철도공사, 안전전문기관이 함께 합동점검반을 가동해, 점검에 나서기로 했다.
또 교량·낙석·사면 등 점검자가 접근하기 어려운 지역에 대해서는 스마트글라스, 드론 등 첨단장비를 활용해 점검할 계획이다.
철도공단 김한영 이사장은 “이번 철도분야 집중안전점검을 통하여 안전관련 개선이 필요한 시설물은 순차적으로 보수·보강 및 시설개량 등의 조치를 할 예정"이라며, " 국민들이 철도를 안전하게 이용할 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
