[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 함안에서 처음 열린 ‘2023년 함안 스트리트 댄스 페스티벌(HSDF)’이 지난 22일 오후 6시 함안문화예술회관 대공연장에서 성황리에 열렸다.
앞서 3월 참가 신청 결과 비보이 브레이킹 댄스 28개 팀 112명, 오픈 스타일 댄스에 67명이 신청했다.
행사 당일 오후 1시부터 치러진 예선전에서 비보이 브레이킹은 4:4 배틀, 오픈 스타일은 2:2 배틀로 진행해 본선(8강)에 진출하는 각 16개 팀을 선정했다.
치열한 배틀 결과 비보이 브레이킹 댄스에서는 1위 브라더 그린, 2위 플로워 에딕트, 공동 3위 원 웨이, 아티스트리트 팀이 수상했다.
오픈 스타일 댄스에서는 1위 고블린&시노비, 2위 태봉&5000, 공동 3위 록봉&마다, 멜먼&세라가 수상의 영광을 안았다.
이번 페스티벌은 함안 출신의 세계적인 비보이 피직스(김효근)가 소속되어 있는 대한민국 대표 힙합 크루인 ‘리버스 크루’와 ‘위너스 크루’가 특별공연을 보여줬다.
또한 지난해 Mnet ‘스트릿 맨 파이터’ 방송에 출연한 엠비셔스 크루의 리더 오천(5000) 등 유명 비보이가 배틀 게스트로 참가해 참가자들과 멋진 무대를 선보였다.

함안군은 대회 예선전과 본선을 외부에서도 자유롭게 관람할 수 있도록 야외 스크린을 마련해 편의를 제공했으며, 안전사고 예방을 위한 철저한 준비로 성황리에 페스티벌을 마무리 했다.
페스티벌에는 서울 및 전국 각지에서 비보잉을 즐기기 위해 함안을 방문했으며 남녀노소 구분 없이 다함께 자유로운 분위기를 함께했다.
특히 이번 대회에서 심사위원으로 출연하고 무대를 선보인 함안 출신의 세계적 비보이 피직스 김효근은 “1996년 함안에서 처음 춤을 시작했는데 27년 만에 함안에서 무대에 설 수 있게 되어 꿈같다”며 소감을 말했다.
조근제 군수는 “이번에 처음 개최한 함안 스트리트 댄스 페스티벌에 참가한 댄서들을 비롯해 전국에서 함안을 찾은 관람객 분들께 감사드린다”며 “함안은 세계적 비보이 피직스 김효근이 처음 춤을 시작한 고장이기도 하다. 이번 대회가 청년 댄서들과 관람객이 함께 즐기는 장이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
군은 이번에 처음 개최한 스트리트 댄스 페스티벌을 계기로 청년들이 많이 찾는 도시로 키우고, 청년 댄서들과 관객들의 열기로 지역에 다시 한번 활력을 불러일으킬 것으로 기대하고 있다.
