[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주에서 2023 진주아시아역도선수권대회가 한창 뜨거워지고 있는 가운데 7일 진주실내체육관에서 남자 67kg급과 여자 59kg급 경기가 열렸다.
이날 남자 67kg급 경기는 한국 신기록을 수립한 이상연(수원시청) 선수가 출전해 인상 139kg, 용상 175kg, 합계 314kg을 들어 헤 유지(중국) 선수에 이어 은메달을 차지했다.
여자 59kg급에는 지난해 전국체전 3관왕 서정미(울산광역시청) 선수가 출전해 쟁쟁한 역사들과 손에 땀을 쥐는 경기를 펼쳤다.
조규일 진주시장은 남자 67kg급 금·은·동메달을 차지한 선수들에게 직접 메달을 수여했으며, 아시아역사들의 치열한 경쟁은 오는 13일 토요일까지 계속된다.
8일은 오후 1시 남자 73kg급 B그룹, 오후 3시 여자 64kg급 A그룹, 오후 6시에는 남자 73kg급 A그룹에 한국 국가대표 박주효 선수와 정한솔 선수가 출전한다.
