의왕시 쉐어블축제추진위원회가 지난 6월 6일 포일근린공원에서 지역주민 300여 명이 참여한 가운데 제5회 쉐어블 마을축제를 개최했다.
쉐어블 마을축제는 발달장애인과 지역주민이 함께 어우러지는 환경을 만들기 위해 ‘마을공동체 주민제안 사업’으로 추진하는 축제.

2017년 장애인단체와 발달장애인이 연합해 기획한 쉐어블프로젝트(share+able)에서 시작돼 차별과 편견 없이 다양한 가능성을 꿈꾸는 축제로 성장해 올해로 5회를 맞이했다. 이날 쉐어블 마을축제에서는 시민들에게 사물놀이 공연과 다채로운 체험프로그램, 나눔장터 등 다양한 즐길 거리를 선보였다.
김성제 의왕시장은 “쉐어블마을축제를 통해 발달장애인에 대한 인식을 개선하고, 장애인과 지역주민들이 함께 어울리는 화합의 장이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

It started in 2017 as a share+able project organized by a group of people with disabilities and people with developmental disabilities.
