군포의왕교육지원청(교육장 이은광)이 ‘우리 아이의 진로희망 부모교육’을 주제로 지난 6월 9일을 시작으로 16일까지 총 6차례, 12시간에 걸쳐 관내 초·중·고 학부모 대상 연수를 진행한다.
이번 연수는 2022년에 이어 학교 현장 교육과정으로서 고교학점제 안착을 위한 학부모의 역할 정립과 교육주체로서의 학교 현장 지원 등을 목적으로 진행된다.
연수는 △속이 꽉 찬 우리 아이를 위한 교육, △학생의 선택권을 보장하는 개정교육과정의 이해, △중학생 대상의 진로희망에 따른 학교 진로설계, △군포의왕 관내 고등학교 교육과정의 이해, △고등학교 대상의 진로희망에 따른 학생 과목 선택법, △입학사정관이 말하는 대학에서 바라본 고교학점제 등을 주제로 실시된다.

연수에 참여 중인 한 중학교 학부모는 “고교학점제가 어떤 목적을 가지고 어떤 시스템으로 운영되는지 궁금했다”며, “우리 아이의 진로 희망과 진학에 따른 과목 선택 방법과 학교 지원을 위해 학부모로서 어떤 역할이 필요한지에 대한 실질적인 이야기를 듣고 싶었다. 오늘 답을 일부 찾을 수 있어 의미 있었다”고 말했다.
경기도군포의왕교육지원청 임선순 교육과장은 “무엇을 어떻게 배울 것인가 학생 스스로 자신의 학습 능력과 진로희망에 따라 선택할 수 있어야 한다. 학생들이 삶에서 스스로 문제를 찾고 협업을 통해 창의적이고 미래지향적인 해답을 스스로 발견할 수 있어야 한다”며, “학교, 교육청, 지역 모두가 함께 고교학점제의 현장 안착을 위해 지속적으로 개선하고 혁신할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하기 위해 노력할 것”이라고 말했다.
