정기홍 대표 내정자는 1978년생으로 네오위즈, 위메이드, 액션스퀘어 등 게임 회사에서 전략 본부장을 거쳐 4:33에 입사, 지난 15여 년간 게임 투자, 인수·합병 분야에서 활동한 경영 및 전략 부문 전문가다.
2020년 4:33에 합류한 정 신임 대표 내정자는 경영전략 본부를 총괄하며, 자회사 및 관계사의 안정적인 투자 및 파트너쉽 환경을 구축하며 리더십을 인정받았다.
4:33은 올해 초부터 경쟁력과 수익성을 확보하기 위해 자회사 디랩스 중심으로 회사 구조를 변경했고, 웹3 게임 3종을 디랩스를 통해 직접 개발하고 직접 서비스하는 형태로 사업 구조를 변경했다.
이에 따라 게임 환경에 대한 이해와 역량을 갖춘 신임 대표를 선임해 자회사와 파트너와의 협력을 강화하고, 웹3 게임을 글로벌 시장에 서비스하며 해외 진출에 속도를 낼 예정이다.
정기홍 신임 대표 내정자는 “앞으로 자회사들을 적극적으로 지원해 글로벌 시장의 경쟁력을 강화하고, 내부적으로도 창의적인 게임을 개발할 수 있도록 노력할 것이다”고 전했다.
신임 대표이사는 내부 절차를 거쳐 내달 공식 선임될 예정이다.
한편, 2018년부터 4:33을 이끌어 온 한성진 대표는 일신상의 이유로 사임한다.
