이 세상에서 가장 빠른 것은
번개라고 생각해왔지.
번개는 비 오는 날 서쪽에서 번쩍
동쪽에서도 번쩍 했어
우르르 꽝꽝 천둥을 몰고 왔어.
그런데 맨해튼에서 그대를 만나고 나서부터
이 세상에서 가장 빠른 것은, 번개보다 빠른 것은
'그대 생각'이라고, 생각하게 됐어.
내 앞에서 웃어주던 해맑은 미소를 떠올리는 순간
번개보다 더 빠르게
'그대 생각'이 떠올랐어.
내가 그대를 만났던 때가
수십 년 전의 일이건만
'그대 생각'을 떠올리면
시공을 초월
번개보다 더 빠르게 떠오르는 거 있지.
그리하여, 잊을 수 없는 그대여
번개보다 빠르게

The moment I remember the bright smile you smiled in front of me

When I met you
Even though it was decades ago
When I think of ‘thinking of you’
Transcends time and space
There are things that fly faster than lightning.
