한국농어촌공사 파주지사는 24일 청년농 농지지원사업 소통간담회를 개최했다.
이번 간담회는 각 지역을 대표하는 청년농업인과 유관기관 및 공사 담당자 총 13명이 참석하여 청년농 대상 농지지원사업의 향후 추진 방향을 공유했다.
또한, 청년농이 현장에서 체감하는 어려움과 정책 제안 등을 수렴하고, 농산업 발전 방향을 논의하는 등 시간도 함께 마련됐다.

농지은행을 통해 공공임대용 농지매입사업을 지원받아 감자와 콩을 재배하고 있는 한 청년농업인은 “농지은행의 지원을 바탕으로 농지를 어렵지 않게 확보할 수 있었다.”라며 “농지 확보가 농업의 큰 진입장벽인데 농지은행 덕분에 많은 청년농들이 더욱 쉽게 영농활동을 시작할 수 있게 도움을 받고 있다.”고 덧붙였다.
파주지사는 농지은행의 「맞춤형농지지원사업」 및 「농지임대수탁사업」을 통해 지난해 103농가에 85ha를 지원하며 청년농의 영농 정착을 이끌고 있다.
또한 올해부터는 청년농을 대상으로 선임대후매도사업, 비축농지 임대형 스마트팜사업, 청년 창업형 스마트농업단지 등 청년농업인을 위한 농지지원 사업 예산을 대폭 확대하고 농지 확보 등 초기자본 확보가 어려운 청년농을 위한 지원을 강화해 나갈 예정이다.
최종태 지사장은 “청년농육성은 농업농촌의 공동화, 고령화를 해결하고 농업의 미래를 준비하는 아주 중요한 일이다 ”라며 “많은 청년농들이 농업에 도전할 수 있도록 최선을 다해 지원하겠다.”라고 말했다.
덧붙여 2월 13일부터 26일까지‘2024년 선임대-후매도사업’의 지원 대상자를 모집한다.
