고양소방서는 17일 119안전체험관에서 어르신들을 대상으로 ‘안전체험의 날’을 운영했다고 밝혔다.
이날 행사는 덕양노인종합복지관 어르신과 관계자 등 16명을 초청하여 상대적으로 재난에 취약한 어르신들의 재난대처 능력을 향상시키기 위해 마련됐다.

주요 교육 내용은 올바른 119 신고 요령 및 다매체 신고 서비스 안내, 소화기 사용체험, 화재 시 대피 체험, 태풍 체험, 심폐소생술 및 기도 폐쇄 응급처치체험, 주택용 경보기 설치 방법, 119안심콜 안내 등이다.

특히 안전 문화 이벤트로 안전 복권 뽑기와 젊은 층에서 유행하는 즉석 사진 촬영, 호신용 경보기 기념품 제공 등으로 어르신들에게 큰 인기를 끌었다.
정귀용 서장은 “이번 안전 체험을 통해 어르신들이 자신과 이웃의 안전을 지킬 수 있도록 안전의식이 향상되는 계기가 되었길 바란다”며 "어르신들의 안전한 노후를 위해 안전 체험 교육의 기회를 더욱 확대하겠다"라고 말했다.[고양=박정호 기자]
