브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 삼성전자가 23일부터 24일(현지시간)까지 태국 방콕에서 테크세미나를 개최, 2024년형 Neo QLED 8K와 삼성 OLED 등 AI TV 핵심 기술을 선보였다.
삼성전자는 2012년부터 글로벌 주요 지역에서 영상·음향 분야 미디어와 전문가들을 대상으로 TV 신제품과 기술을 소개하는 테크세미나를 개최해오고 있다.
동남아 지역에서 열리는 이번 테크 세미나는 △화질 업스케일링 △인공지능(AI) 기반의 맞춤 화면 설정 △삼성 OLED의 ‘글레어 프리(Glare Free)’ 기술 △액자형 스피커 ‘뮤직 프레임’ 등 2024년 신제품과 함께 AI TV를 여는 핵심 기술을 경험할 수 있다.
2024년형 Neo QLED 8K는 ‘NQ8 AI 3세대’ 프로세서를 탑재해 전년 대비 8배 많은 512개의 뉴럴 네트워크와 2배 빠른 NPU(Neural Processing Unit)가 저해상도 영상을 8K급으로 업스케일링 해준다.
2024년형 삼성 OLED는 미국 안전 인증기관인 ‘UL’의 인증을 받은 ‘OLED 글레어 프리(OLED Glare Free)’ 기술을 적용해 스크린의 빛 반사를 줄여 선명한 화질로 몰입감 있는 시청 경험을 제공한다.
새로운 라이프스타일 제품 액자형 스피커 ‘뮤직 프레임’은 탈부착이 가능한 포토 프레임에 원하는 사진을 끼워 넣어 액자처럼 활용할 수 있다.
아울러 삼성 TV에 적용된 ‘삼성 녹스(Knox)’는 지난 2월 ‘국제 공통 평가 기준(Common Criteria)’ 인증을 획득해 소프트웨어와 하드웨어 측면에서 TV 보안의 기준을 한층 더 강화했다.
