군포의왕교육지원청(교육장 성정현)이 지난 7월 19일 ‘2024 군포의왕 인성교육 학생지원단 협의회’를 개최했다.
군포의왕 인성교육 학생지원단은 초등 6지구, 중등 3지구, 고등 2지구 총 11지구로 구성돼 지구별 협의회를 통해 의견을 나누고 학생들의 목소리로 학교의 인성교육을 활성화하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.
군포의왕 지역의 초·중·고 학교별 학생자치회 대표 학생으로 구성된 군포·의왕 인성교육 학생지원단은 이날 협의회에 참석해 한학기 동안 진행된 학교의 인성교육 사례를 공유하고, 인성교육 활성화 방안을 논의했다.
지원단은 특히 학교폭력, 교권침해 등 학교 현장에서 발생하는 여러 문제점을 공유하고 이를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 학생자치회가 중심이 되는 학생주도의 인성친화적인 학교문화 조성 방안에 대해 논의하고, “교육공동체가 인성교육의 필요성을 공유하는 것이 중요하다”는 데에 공감했다.

군포의왕 인성교육 학생지원단의 내실 있는 운영을 위해 군포의왕교육지원청은 앞으로 협의회, 지원단 역량 강화 워크숍 및 성과 나눔 공유회를 운영할 계획이다.
협의회에 참가한 김율 모락중학교 학생회장은 “학생자치회 운영의 어려움에 대한 고민을 서로 나누고 다양한 인성교육 방법을 알 수 있는 좋은 시간이었다”며, “학교로 돌아가 학급회의, 대의원회의 등을 통해 우리 학교에서 활용할 수 있는 인성교육 방안을 논의해 보고 싶다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
성정현 교육장은 “우리 학생들이 바른 인성을 함양한 미래인재로 성장하기 위해서는 가장 많은 시간을 보내는 학교에서의 시간이 무엇보다 중요하다”며, “학교의 존중과 배려, 협력과 책임의 인성교육이 일상화될 수 있도록 하는데 학생지원단이 그 역할을 할 것이라 기대하며 앞으로도 우리 지역의 인성교육 학생지원단의 명맥이 유지될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
