이번 리포트에 따르면, 7월 의약품 분류 코드(Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical, 이하 ATC) 중 ‘코로나 바이러스 항바이러스제’를 처방한 의료 기관 수가 전달 대비 1221곳 늘며 가장 높은 증가율을 기록했다.
2위에 비마약성 진통제 시장이 오른 것도 눈에 띈다. 해당 ATC를 처방한 의료기관 수는 전달 대비 724곳 늘어나 ATC 2위로 올라선 것이다.
유비케어 측은 “지난 6월 의료기관 수 증가 폭이 가장 컸던 의약품은 ‘D7B3 항균제와 항진균제를 배합한 코르티코스테로이드제’로 126곳 증가했다”면서 “이와 비교했을 때 7월에 ‘코로나 바이러스 항바이러스제’가 1221곳 증가했다는 것은 코로나19가 다시 급격히 확산 중임을 데이터로 명확히 확인할 수 있는 결과”라고 분석했다.
또한, “비마약성 진통제 처방 증가 역시 코로나19 증상을 완화하는 의약품이 덩달아 수혜를 받은 것으로 유추할 수 있었다”고 밝혔다.
이러한 처방 의료 기관 수 변화에 따른 실제 의약품 매출 결과값은 원외 의약품 분석 솔루션인 UBIST Pharmacy(유비스트 파마시)를 통해 확인할 수 있다.
실제로 7월에는 코로나19 경구 치료제 매출이 계속해서 늘어난 것을 확인할 수 있으며, 의료 현장에서는 치료제 품귀현상에 대한 우려도 커지고 있는 상황이다.
유비케어 관계자는 “‘UBIST HCD’ 솔루션을 기반으로 기관 중심의 데이터를 분석하면서 ‘UBIST Pharmacy’를 통해 의약품 중심의 데이터를 교차 검증한다면 시장의 트렌드를 더 면밀하게 파악할 수 있다”면서, “특히 ‘UBIST Pharmacy’는 급여 의약품뿐만 아니라 코로나19 경구 치료제 같은 비급여 의약품 매출 데이터도 분석할 수 있기 때문에 원외 처방 비급여 의약품 시장에서도 활용할 수 있다”고 밝혔다.

The resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a sharp increase in prescriptions of therapeutic drugs by healthcare organizations. This was confirmed in the July Summer Report by Ubicare's 'UBIST HCD' solution. 'UBIST HCD' is a solution for analyzing the number of medical institutions prescribing medicines developed by Ubicare.
On August 21, Ubicare (CEO Lee Sang-kyung), a digital healthcare platform company, announced the results of the analysis of the number of medical institutions prescribing drugs in Korea in July derived from its solution, 'UBIST HCD'.
According to the report, the number of medical institutions that prescribed 'coronavirus antiviral drugs' among the drug classification codes (Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical, ATC) in July increased by 1221 compared to the previous month, recording the highest growth rate.
In second place was the non-opioid analgesic market. The number of providers prescribing these ATCs increased by 724 providers month-over-month, making them the second most popular ATC.
“The largest increase in the number of providers in June was for corticosteroids with D7B3 antibacterials and antifungals, which increased by 126 providers,” said Ubicare. ”In comparison, the increase of 1221 providers for coronavirus antivirals in July is a clear indication from the data that COVID-19 is spreading rapidly again.”
“The increase in prescriptions for non-opioid painkillers could also be attributed to a surge in medicines to relieve COVID-19 symptoms.”
The actual pharmaceutical sales consequences of these shifts in prescribing organizations can be seen through UBIST Pharmacy, an out-of-home pharmaceutical analytics solution.
In fact, sales of oral COVID-19 treatments continued to increase in July, and there are growing concerns in the medical field about shortages.
