하나카드가 국내 5대 금융그룹 중 처음으로 ‘트래블로그’, ‘비자’와 제휴를 맺고 콜라보 체크카드를 내놨다. 해외여행 1등 서비스 ‘트래블로그’와 디지털 결제 분야의 세계적 리더 ‘비자’의 혜택과 장점을 누리는 ‘트래블GO체크카드’를 선보인 것.
하나카드(대표이사 이호성)는 트래블로그 서비스에 글로벌 결제 네트워크 브랜드 비자(Visa)를 더한 ‘트래블GO체크카드’(이하 트래블GO)를 출시한다고 8월 22일 밝혔다.
트래블로그는 하나머니 앱에서 무료환전(환율우대 100%)을 하고 트래블로그 카드로 수수료 없이 전 세계에서 이용이 가능한 하나금융그룹의 해외여행 서비스다. 24시간 365일 모바일 환전으로 현금 없는(Cashless) 해외여행을 선도하며 합리적 소비와 경험의 가치를 중시하는 요즘 세대에게 해외여행 필수품으로 자리매김하고 있다.
‘트래블GO’는 국내 5대 금융그룹 최초로 비자와 제휴를 맺고 출시된 첫 번째 트래블카드. 트래블로그의 3대 주요 혜택인 ▲모든 통화 무료환전(환율우대 100%) ▲해외이용 수수료 면제 ▲해외 ATM 인출수수료 면제 혜택이 동일하게 제공되며 비자가 제공하는 혜택과 장점을 모두 누릴 수 있다.
여기에 더해 카페, 편의점, 대중교통, 구독 서비스 등 국내 주요 가맹점 결제 시 결제 금액의 최대 5%가 하나머니로 적립된다. 이외에도 ‘트래블GO’ 출시일로부터 1년간 샵백에서 해외 직구를 할 경우 기본 캐시백에 1% 추가 캐시백이 제공되고, 국내에서 우버 택시 앱 결제 시 10% 즉시 할인 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
특히, ‘트래블GO’는 비자의 개방형 교통결제 시스템의 이점을 함께 경험할 수 있다. 호주, 영국, 일본 등 비자의 개방형 교통결제 시스템이 구축된 국가에서는 별도의 현지 교통 패스나 카드를 구매하지 않아도 ‘트래블GO’ 카드로 편리하게 현지 대중교통을 이용할 수 있다.
더불어 비자의 파트너사인 올포인트(Allpoint)와의 제휴로 해외 현지 ATM 수수료 무료 혜택도 누릴 수 있다. 올포인트는 해외 약 5만5000여 개의 ATM과의 제휴를 통해 해외에서 현금 인출 시 현지 ATM에서 부과할 수 있는 별도의 수수료에 대해 면제 서비스를 제공하는 기업으로, 북미, 유럽, 일본, 호주 등 올포인트 로고가 부착되어 있을 시 해외 현지 ATM 수수료 면제 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
뱅크레이트스터디에 따르면 2023년 올포인트의 현지 ATM 이용자들은 건당 평균 3.15달러(최소 3달러~최대 10달러)의 수수료를 낸 것으로 집계되었다. ‘트래블GO’ 체크카드로 현지 ATM 인출 시 평균 3.15달러에 달하는 수수료가 면제돼 해외 여행객뿐만 아니라 현지 유학생 및 단기 어학연수생들도 수수료 부담을 크게 줄일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
이번 ‘트래블GO’ 출시로 트래블로그 이용자의 선택 폭과 편의성도 극대화될 전망이다. 2022년 7월 체크카드로 출발한 트래블로그는 최근 마일리지 적립 신용카드까지 출시하며 트래블카드 시장을 선도하고 있다. 또한 ‘마스터’, ‘유피아이’에 이어 ‘비자’와 함께 트래블 제휴카드를 선보이며 트래블로그 라인업을 완성했다.
통상적으로 해외여행 시 현지 결제 환경을 고려해 ‘비자’와 ‘마스터’ 등 2개 이상의 글로벌 브랜드 카드를 소지하기 때문에 환전과 결제 이력 및 여행 경비 등을 따로 관리해야 하는 불편함이 있었다. 그러나 트래블로그 이용자는 하나머니 앱에서 환전하고 여행지에 따라 트래블로그(‘마스터’, ‘유피아이’)/트래블GO(‘비자’) 카드를 선택해 결제하면 된다. 하나머니 앱 하나로 환전과 결제 이력 관리는 물론 여행 경비 운영까지 한층 더 쉬워질 것으로 예상된다.
오는 8월 29일 하나페이 해외 매장 결제 서비스가 리뉴얼된다. ‘트래블GO’ 카드를 하나페이 앱에 등록 후 비자 컨택리스 카드 결제가 가능한 매장에서 간단히 탭하는 방식으로 비접촉식(NFC) 결제가 가능하다. 해외에서 지갑을 찾거나 카드를 꺼내지 않고 번거로운 서명이나 비밀번호 입력없이 휴대전화 하나로 결제가 가능해진 것이다.
기존의 하나페이 국내 매장 결제와 동일한 방법으로 안심결제 인증을 통해 카드 선택 후 바로 매장에서 이용할 수 있으며 현재 미국, 유럽, 일본, 싱가포르 등 다양한 국가에서 사용 가능하다.
‘트래블GO’ 출시를 기념한 론칭 이벤트도 진행된다. 기간 내(8월 22일~9월 30일) 트래블GO 체크카드로 국내에서 5천원 이상 결제할 경우 추첨을 통해 트래블버킷에서 사용 가능한 ▲해외항공권 200만 원(3명) ▲미국 디즈니랜드 입장권 2매(10명) ▲스타벅스 아이스 아메리카노 1잔(2만 명)을 받을 수 있다. 또한 12월 31일까지 ‘트래블GO’ 체크카드로 해외 ATM 인출 또는 해외교통(Contactless)을 이용한 손님 모두에게 스타벅스 아이스 아메리카노 1잔 무료 쿠폰을 제공한다.
여기에 더해 8월 29일부터 12월 31일까지 하나카드 항공, 숙박, 액티비티 전용 서비스인 ‘트래블버킷’에서 ‘트래블GO’로 국제선 항공권 결제 시 즉시 할인 혜택이 적용되며 이와 관련된 자세한 내용은 하나머니 앱 또는 하나페이 앱에서 확인할 수 있다.

Hana Card Launches 'Travel GO Debit Card' Specialized for Overseas Travel

Hana Card is the first of Korea's top five financial groups to partner with 'Travelog' and 'Visa' to launch a collaborative debit card. Hana Card introduced the 'Travel GO Debit Card', which enjoys the benefits and advantages of 'Travelog', the No. 1 overseas travel service, and 'Visa', the world leader in digital payments.
On August 22, Hana Card (CEO Lee Ho-seong) announced the launch of TravelGO Check Card (hereinafter referred to as TravelGO), which adds Visa, a global payment network brand, to the Travelog service.
TravelLOG is Hana Financial Group's overseas travel service that allows users to exchange money for free (100% exchange rate preference) on the Hana Money app and use the TravelLOG card worldwide without any fees. It is leading cashless overseas travel with 24/7 mobile currency exchange and has become a must-have for overseas travelers of today's generation who value rational consumption and experience.
'Travel GO' is the first travel card launched in partnership with Visa, the first of Korea's top five financial groups. It offers all the benefits and advantages of Visa, including free currency conversion (100% exchange rate advantage) for all currencies, no overseas usage fees, and no overseas ATM withdrawal fees.
In addition, up to 5% of the payment amount will be credited as Hana Money when paying at major domestic merchants such as cafes, convenience stores, public transportation, and subscription services. In addition, for one year from the launch date of Travel GO, users will receive 1% additional cash back on top of the basic cash back when making overseas purchases at ShopBack, and 10% instant discount when paying for Uber taxis in Korea.
In particular, TravelGO will benefit from Visa's open transportation payment system. In countries where Visa's open transportation payment system is in place, such as Australia, the United Kingdom, and Japan, the Travel GO card can be used to conveniently access local public transportation without the need to purchase a separate local transportation pass or card.
And thanks to Visa's partnership with Allpoint, you'll also benefit from free local ATM surcharges abroad. Allpoint partners with more than 55,000 ATMs abroad to waive surcharges that may be charged by local ATMs when you withdraw cash abroad, so you'll be able to skip local ATM fees abroad when you see the Allpoint logo in North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia.
According to Bankrate Study, in 2023, Allpoint's local ATM users paid an average of $3.15 per transaction (with a minimum of $3 and a maximum of $10). With the TravelGO debit card, the average $3.15 fee for local ATM withdrawals will be waived, significantly reducing the fee burden for international travelers, as well as local students and short-term language learners.
The launch of Travel GO will also maximize choice and convenience for Travelog users. Travelog, which started with a debit card in July 2022, recently launched a mileage-earning credit card and is leading the travel card market. In addition, after 'Master' and 'U.P.I.', the Travel Affiliate Card was introduced with 'Visa' to complete the Travelog lineup.
Usually, when traveling abroad, users have to carry two or more global brand cards such as 'Visa' and 'Mastercard' in consideration of the local payment environment, so it has been inconvenient to manage currency exchange, payment history, and travel expenses separately. However, TravelBlog users can exchange currency in the Hanamoney app and select a TravelBlog ('Mastercard', 'U.P.I.') or TravelGO ('Visa') card according to their travel destination. It is expected to make it easier to exchange currency, manage payment history, and manage travel expenses through the Hanamoney app.
On August 29, Hana Pay's overseas store payment service will be renewed. After registering the 'Travel GO' card in the Hana Pay app, users can make contactless (NFC) payments with a simple tap at stores that accept Visa contactless cards. This means that customers can now pay with their mobile phones without having to search for their wallets or take out their cards overseas, and without the hassle of signing or entering passwords.
The service is available in various countries including the U.S., Europe, Japan, and Singapore, and can be used in stores immediately after selecting a card through secure payment authentication in the same way as existing Hana Pay domestic store payments.
A launch event will also be held to commemorate the launch of Travel GO. During the period (August 22-September 30), if you make a domestic payment of KRW 5,000 or more with the TravelGO debit card, you will be entered into a lottery to win KRW 2 million in overseas airline tickets (3 winners), 2 tickets to Disneyland (10 winners), or 1 Starbucks Iced Americano (20,000 winners), all of which can be used on TravelBucket. In addition, until December 31, all customers who use the 'TravelGO' debit card to make overseas ATM withdrawals or use overseas transportation (contactless) will receive a coupon for a free Starbucks Iced Americano.
