“아침 든든하게 먹고 건강 챙기세요!”
농협재단이 농협장학관 생활생을 대상으로 ‘아침밥 먹기 캠페인’을 진행한다. 농협장학관은 농업인 자녀들의 학업 전념을 돕기 위해 만든 대학생 생활관.
농협재단(이사장 강호동)은 9월 2일 농협장학관 구내식당에서 쌀 소비를 촉진하고 생활생들의 건강한 식습관 형성을 위해 아침밥 먹기 행사를 실시했다고 이날 밝혔다.
‘아침밥 먹기 캠페인’에는 농협재단 임직원과 농협장학관 생활생 100여 명이 참석했다. 농협재단 직원들은 생활생들에게 우리쌀로 만든 쌀과자와 쌀음료를 나누며, 건강과 학업 능률의 향상을 위한 아침밥 먹기 캠페인에 동참할 것을 권했다.
문석근 농협재단 사무총장은 “아침밥을 든든하게 먹은 농업인 자녀들이 학업에 전념하여 한국 농업과 농촌을 위해 훌륭한 인재로 성장할 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다.
한편, 농협재단은 최근 쌀값 하락과 소비감소로 어려움을 겪고 있는 농업·농촌 사회공헌 사업의 일환으로 수해지역 농업인에게 쌀 가공품 꾸러미 3300개를 신속히 지원하고, 농촌 지역아동센터에 쌀 1만700kg을 기증하는 등 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 시행하고 있다.

“Eat a hearty breakfast and take care of your health!”
The Nonghyup Foundation is organizing the 'Eat Breakfast Campaign' for students living in the Nonghyup Janghak Dormitory. Nonghyup Janghakgak is a university dormitory created to help the children of farmers focus on their studies.
On September 2, the Nonghyup Foundation (Chairman Kang Ho-dong) announced that it held a breakfast event at the cafeteria of Nonghyup Janghak Gak to promote rice consumption and form healthy eating habits among students.
The 'Eat Rice for Breakfast Campaign' was attended by Nonghyup Foundation employees and more than 100 students from the Nonghyup Scholarship Center. The Nonghyup Foundation employees shared rice snacks and rice drinks made with Korean rice with the students and encouraged them to join the breakfast campaign to improve their health and academic performance.
“We hope that the children of farmers who eat a hearty breakfast will be able to focus on their studies and grow into excellent human resources for Korean agriculture and rural areas,” said Moon Seok-geun, Secretary General of the Nonghyup Foundation.
Meanwhile, the Nonghyup Foundation has recently implemented various social contribution activities, such as quickly providing 3,300 processed rice packages to farmers in flooded areas and donating 17,000 kg of rice to rural children's centers, as part of its social contribution projects for agriculture and rural areas suffering from declining rice prices and declining consumption.
