신한라이프의 사회공헌재단인 신한라이프빛나는재단은 지난 여름방학 기간 중 결식 우려가 있는 서울지역 취약계층 아동 700명을 대상으로 1억 원 상당의 건강식단을 지원했다고 9월 2일 밝혔다.
건강식단 지원은 방학기간 중 돌봄 공백에 노출된 어린이에게 균형 잡힌 식단을 제공함으로써 신체 발달과 정서적 안정에 도움을 주기 위한 사회공헌 사업이다.
신한라이프빛나는재단에 따르면 이 사업을 통해 지난 2020년 겨울방학부터 현재까지 총 5500명의 아이들에게 35,200키트의 건강식을 지원해 왔다.
올해 여름방학에는 아이들이 다양하고 건강한 먹거리를 경험할 수 있도록 전국 맛집 메뉴를 컨셉트로 키트를 구성했다. 해당 키트는 아동 1인 식사 기준 두세 번 나눠 먹을 수 있는 양으로 총 700명의 아이들에게 지난 8월 1일부터 30일까지 매주 1회씩 4주간 새벽배송으로 제공했다.
신한라이프빛나는재단 관계자는 “미래 세대의 주인공인 어린이들이 밝고 건강하게 자라도록 돕고자 시작한 ‘건강식단 지원사업’이 5년째를 맞아 감회가 새롭다”며, “앞으로도 꾸준한 사회공헌활동으로 사회적 가치를 창출하고 지속 가능한 미래를 만들어 가기 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

On September 2, Shinhan Life's social contribution foundation, the Shinhan Life Shining Foundation, announced that it provided healthy meals worth KRW 100 million to 700 vulnerable children in Seoul who were at risk of going hungry during the summer vacation.
The healthy meal support is a social contribution program that aims to help children exposed to care gaps during the summer vacation period by providing them with a balanced diet to help their physical development and emotional stability.
According to the Shinhan Life Brightening Foundation, the program has provided 35,200 kits of healthy meals to a total of 5,500 children since the winter vacation in 2020.
For this year's summer vacation, the kits were organized based on the concept of national restaurant menus so that children can experience a variety of healthy foods. The kits, which are enough for two to three meals per child, were delivered to a total of 700 children once a week for four weeks from August 1 to 30 via early morning delivery.
