[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 재필리핀 대한체육회 망고장학회는 10일 오후 3시 김해시청 대회의실에서 김해시에 거주하는 필리핀 다문화가정 자녀 30명과 꿈드림학교(한필헤리티지문화교육협회 운영) 학생, 장학위원 추천 등 40명의 학생들에게 장학금 2,200만원을 전달했다.
이날 전달식에는 홍태용 김해시장을 비롯해 마리아 테레사 주한 필리핀 대사, 이동수 망고장학회 이사장 등이 참석해 학생들에게 장학증서와 장학금을 수여했다.
재필리핀 대한체육회는 필리핀 교민들의 정성을 모아 망고장학회를 설립해 2013년 제94회 전국체전을 시작으로 주 개최지의 필리핀 다문화가정 자녀들이 꿈을 키워나갈 수 있도록 장학금을 지원하고 있다.
올해는 제105회 전국체전이 11일부터 17일까지 제44회 장애인체전이 25~30일 김해시를 주 개최지로 경남 전역에서 개최된다.
