최근 날씨가 제법 쌀쌀해지면서 난방 가전의 매출이 급증한 것으로 나타났다.
롯데하이마트는 10월 1일부터 10일까지 판매기준으로 히터류와 요장판류 매출이 지난해 같은 기간 대비 각각 30%, 10% 늘었다고 10월 14일 밝혔다.
통상적으로 난방 가전 매출은 10~11월에 집중된다. 실제로 롯데하이마트가 최근 3년(2021~2023년)간 판매한 난방 가전 매출을 살펴보면, 요장판류와 히터류의 10~11월 매출은 각각 연간 매출의 약 50%, 약 40%를 차지했다. 특히 기상청에서 지난 9월 23일 발표한 ‘2024년 10~12월 3개월 전망’에 따르면, 올해 12월 기온은 평년보다 대체로 낮을 것으로 전망돼, 당분간 난방 가전 수요는 더욱 늘어날 것으로 보인다.
롯데하이마트는 겨울이 오기 전에 난방 가전을 마련하려는 소비자를 위해 히터류와 요장판류 준비물량을 늘리고 매장 진열 시점도 지난해보다 앞당겼다.
고객들의 수요에 대비해 히터류와 요장판류의 준비물량을 전년보다 약 10% 이상 늘려 운영하고 있다. 특히 가성비 높은 난방 가전을 찾는 고객들을 위해 자체브랜드(PB) ‘하이메이드(HIMADE)’ 난방 가전 준비 물량을 전년보다 약 20% 늘려 선보일 계획이다. 고객들이 다양한 브랜드의 난방 가전을 직접 살펴보고 구매할 수 있도록 난방 가전 진열 시점도 9월 첫째주부터로, 전년 대비 약 일주일 가량 앞당겼다.
고객들이 많이 찾는 인기 난방 가전 중심으로 10월 특별 할인가 판매도 하고 있다. 10월 말까지 롯데하이마트 온라인 쇼핑몰에서 경동나비엔 ‘카본매트’ 퀸 사이즈 28만9,000원, 싱글 사이즈 27만9,000원, 신일 ‘팬히터’ 9평형 39만8,000원, 12평형 49만8,000원 등 난방 가전 행사상품을 특별 혜택가에 제공한다.

The recent chilly weather has led to a surge in sales of heating appliances.
Lotte High Mart announced on Oct. 14 that sales of heaters and bath and kitchen appliances increased 30 percent and 10 percent, respectively, from the same period last year, based on sales from Oct. 1 to 10.
Typically, sales of heating appliances are concentrated in October and November. In fact, Lotte High Mart's sales of heating appliances over the last three years (2021-2023) accounted for about 50% and 40% of its annual sales in October and November, respectively. In particular, according to the '3-month forecast for October-December 2024' released by the Korea Meteorological Administration on September 23, the temperature in December is expected to be generally lower than normal, which will further increase the demand for heating appliances in the near future.
LOTTE Hi-Mart has increased its stock of heaters and cooking plates, and has also moved up the timing of their display in stores from last year to accommodate customers who want to stock up on heating appliances before the cold sets in.
To prepare for customer demand, the company has increased its stock of heaters and cooking plates by about 10% from the previous year. In particular, for customers looking for cost-effective heating appliances, we plan to increase the stock of private label (PB) 'HIMADE' heating appliances by about 20% from the previous year.
