김해시, 제11회 그린시티 선정

[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 환경부 주관 2024년 제11회 그린시티(환경관리 우수 자치단체)에 선정돼 환경부장관 기관 표창과 그린시티 현판을 수상했다고 18일 밝혔다.

그린시티 선정사업은 환경부가 환경행정 기반과 역량이 우수한 자치단체를 공식 선정해 환경친화적인 지방행정을 확산시키려는 사업으로 2004년부터 2년마다 실시하고 있다.

올해는 전국 39개 지자체가 공모에 참여해 지난 2년(2022~2023년) 간의 ▲자원순환, 수질, 물순환, 녹지확충, 대기질 개선 관련 도시환경 ▲기후변화 완화, 기후위기 적응, 흡수원 확충, 무공해차 보급 등 탄소중립 ▲환경교육과 지자체 대표 환경시책 등 4개 부문 총 10개 항목의 전문가 평가를 거쳐 총 6개 지자체를 선정했다.(김해시, 고양시, 예천군, 대구 수성구, 신안군, 천안시)
