우미건설의 사회공헌 사업을 도맡은 우미희망재단이 히어로즈 패밀리 ‘마음ON’ 행사를 열었다.
우미희망재단(이사장 이석준)은 국가를 위해 헌신한 전몰·순직 군경의 가족들을 위해 11월 2일 대구 엑스코에서 ‘마음ON, We are together(이하 마음ON)’를 개최했다고 4일 밝혔다.
‘마음ON’은 전몰·순직 군경 유가족 통합지원사업인 히어로즈 패밀리의 세부 프로그램이다. 전몰·순직 군경 가족이 한 자리에 모여 심리 회복과 교류의 장을 펼치고자 마련된 행사로 부모와 자녀가 함께 즐길 수 있는 다양한 프로그램이 진행됐다.
우미희망재단에 따르면 이번 행사에서는 가족심리 전문가 이호선 교수가 부모를 대상으로 ‘나와 내 아이가 행복해지는 법’이라는 주제로 특강을 펼쳤으며, 자녀를 대상으로 K-POP 댄스 레슨도 진행되어 큰 호응을 얻었다. 또한 가족을 캐리커처로 그려보는 ‘도토리 캐리커처’, 나만의 아로마 디퓨저를 제작해보는 ‘아로마 테라피’ 등 체험행사도 함께 진행됐다.
히어로즈 패밀리 프로그램은 2022년 국가보훈부와 우미희망재단, 초록우산 등 3개 기관이 업무협약을 맺고 진행하는 사업이다. 우미희망재단은 만 19세 이하 미성년 자녀를 둔 81가구 205명에게 개별 맞춤형 지원을 펼치기 위해 매년 6억 원을 출연하고 있다.
이춘석 우미희망재단 사무국장은 “’히어로즈 패밀리 프로그램’이 국가유공자 유가족 교류의 구심점 역할을 할 수 있도록 다양한 사업으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The Umi Hope Foundation (Chairman Lee Seok-jun) announced on November 4 that it held 'Heart ON, We are together' at the Daegu Expo on November 2 for the families of the fallen and martyred military officers who dedicated themselves to the nation.
'Mind ON' is a detailed program of Heroes Family, an integrated support project for the families of the fallen and martyred military officers. The event was designed to bring together families of fallen and martyred military officers for psychological recovery and exchanges, and various programs were held for parents and children to enjoy together.
According to the Umi Hope Foundation, family psychology expert Professor Lee Ho-ho gave a special lecture on the topic of 'How to make me and my child happy' to parents, and K-POP dance lessons were also held for children, which received a great response. The event also included hands-on activities such as 'Acorn Caricature,' where participants drew caricatures of their families, and 'Aromatherapy,' where they made their own aroma diffusers.
The Heroes Family Program was launched in 2022 through a business agreement between the Ministry of National Veterans Affairs, the Umi Hope Foundation, and Green Umbrella. The Woomi Hope Foundation provides KRW 600 million annually to provide individualized support to 205 people from 81 families with children under the age of 19.
“We will expand the 'Heroes Family Program' into various projects so that it can serve as the centerpiece of exchanges between families of national heroes,” said Lee Chun-seok, secretary general of the Umi Hope Foundation.
