[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 오는 24일 수릉원에서 외국인근로자, 결혼이주여성, 유학생, 시민이 참여하는 2024 김해 on Asia 어울림 한마당을 개최한다.

김해시가 주최하고 김해외국인근로자지원센터가 주관하는 이번 행사는 동아시아문화도시 국가인 한국, 중국을 비롯해 네팔 등 총 11개국 외국인근로자의 나라별 전통 공연과 국가대항 줄다리기, 외국인 K-POP 가요제 등 다양한 볼거리와 즐길거리가 가득하다.

특히 동아시아문화도시 사업을 이어가기 위해 평소 접하기 힘든 중국 전통 가면술 ‘변검’ 공연과 가야지무예술단의 소고춤 공연을 선보이고 국가홍보관 전통 문화·음식 맛보기 체험과 동아시아 의복 체험을 할 수 있는 자리를 마련한다.

김해시는 지난 4월 22일 동아시아문화도시 개막식을 시작으로 일본, 중국 측 선정 도시와 20여개 문화교류사업을 이어왔으며 지난 10월 20일 폐막식이 열렸다.

이처럼 올해 사업은 막을 내렸지만 김해시는 중국, 일본과의 교류를 지속해 나가기 위해 이번 행사에 동아시아문화도시 사업을 가미했다.

강선희 김해외국인근로자지원센터장은 ＂우리나라 산업현장에서 일하고 있는 외국인근로자들의 스트레스를 해소하고 다 함께 웃으며 즐기는 하루가 될 수 있도록 다양한 행사를 준비했다”며 “앞으로도 외국인근로자들을 위한 다양한 프로그램을 마련해 지역사회 적응을 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

홍태용 시장은 “외국인주민도 우리 가족과 같은 김해시민이다”며 “앞으로 외국인근로자를 비롯한 외국인주민 모두의 권익 향상에 힘쓰고 내·외국인 주민이 함께하는 국제도시를 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
