[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 말레이시아 솔스티스 해쉬클럽 회원 100여명이 지난 22일부터 24일까지 2박 3일간 김해를 방문해 가을의 정취가 완연한 분성산과 대성동고분군 일원을 달리는 해쉬대회(HASH)를 개최했다.

해쉬란 1938년 말레이시아에 거주하던 영국관리들을 중심으로 시작된 운동과 사교모임이 합쳐진 레저활동으로, 영국식 놀이인 ‘토끼와 사냥개’에서 착안해 도심과 숲속을 선두 그룹(토끼)이 표식을 남기면서 출발하고 나머지 회원들(사냥개)이 그 뒤를 따라가는 비경쟁러닝 스포츠이다.

이번 행사에는 말레이시아뿐만 아니라 우리나라, 미국, 영국, 일본, 싱가포르, 인도네시아, 태국, 베트남 9개국에서 해쉬를 즐기는 회원들이 참가해 가야테마파크와 분산성, 김해천문대로 이어지는 분성산과 대성동 고분군 일원을 달리며 아름다운 김해의 매력을 즐겼다.

또 수로왕릉과 대표 관광시설인 가야테마파크와 분청도자박물관을 방문해 페인터스 공연 관람, 장군차를 시음하며 색다른 한국의 문화를 느꼈다.

김해시는 2024 김해방문의 해를 맞아 경남도와 한국관광공사, 경남관광재단의 적극적인 협조로 이번 대회를 유치했으며 다양한 국적의 회원이 참가한 이번 대회를 계기로 단순 해외 관광객뿐만 아니라 레포츠 활동과 연계한 방문객 유치 가능성을 열었다.

솔스티스 해쉬클럽 이마태오 회장은 “회원 대부분이 한국에서는 서울과 부산을 많이 알고 있는데 김해에 와 보니 정말 아름다운 러닝코스가 있고 오랜 역사와 현대적인 시설이 잘 조화된 도시여서 개인적으로 꼭 다시 한번 방문하고 싶은 곳”이라고 말했다.
