[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 한국도로공사와 협약해 추진한 남장유 하이패스IC가 오는 28일 오후 3시부터 개통한다고 밝혔다.

남장유 하이패스IC는 남해고속도로 제2지선으로 창원, 진주 방면 하이패스 전용 차량 진출입로이다.

이번 개통으로 김해지역 고속도로 나들목은 기존 12곳(동김해·서김해·대동·김해가야하이패스·상동·광재·한림·남진례·장유·대청IC)에서 13곳으로 늘어난다.

남장유 하이패스IC가 개통하면 율하1·2지구 등 주변 신도시 조성과 롯데아울렛, 롯데호텔 개관에 따른 인구와 고속도로 이용자 증가로 장유IC에 집중됐던 통행량을 분산시킬 것으로 보인다.

또 율하지역 접근성 향상으로 물류와 상업 활동에도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대된다.

김해시 관계자는 “남장유 하이패스IC 창원 방면 개통으로 장유지역 주민들의 고속도로 접근성 등 교통 편의가 크게 증진될 것으로 기대된다”며 “다만 부산 방면IC는 경제성 부족 등으로 설치되지 않아 기존 가락IC나 장유IC를 이용해야 하므로 부산 방면 이용객들은 착오 없으시길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
