[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 투명한 공약 관리를 위해 28일 첫 회의를 시작으로 시민배심원제를 본격 운영한다.
올해 총 3차례 진행될 시민배심원제는 시민이 직접 참여해 공약이행현황을 점검하고 조정·평가하기 위한 것으로 공약 이행 과정의 객관성과 신뢰성을 높일 뿐만 아니라 주민 소통의 새로운 방향을 제시하는 제도이다.
이날 3시간에 걸쳐 진행된 1차 회의에서는 시민배심원 위촉, 매니페스토 운동과 시민배심원에 대한 교육, 분임 구성 및 토의를 진행했고 이어지는 12월 5일과 19일에 각각 진행될 2~3차 회의에서는 지역 여건과 정책변화 등에 따라 계획 변경이 불가피한 23개 공약사업에 대한 심도 있는 토론과 심의가 진행될 예정이다.
공약 조정 찬반투표가 진행될 대표적인 사업으로는 △도비 지원이 종료된 ‘청년 드림카드 확대 발행’ △정부의 조직 확대 억제 기조로 어려움이 있는 ‘고용노동지청 김해 유치’ △다른 지자체 중복투자 우려로 출렁다리 조성이 보류된‘무척산 관광 활성화 사업’등이다.
홍태용 시장은“시정에 대한 시민들의 적극적인 참여와 관심에 부응할 수 있도록 시민의 눈높이에 맞는 완성도 높은 공약 이행을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”며“시민배심원 회의 과정과 그 결과는 오는 12월 말까지 김해시청 누리집에 공개해 시민과의 소통을 계속해서 이어나가겠다”고 말했다.
