[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 기후변화테마공원 교육 프로그램 ‘초록이 탄소중립 여행’과 ‘우리 가족 새싹놀이터’ 가 환경부 우수 환경교육 프로그램으로 지정됐다고 20일 밝혔다.
우수 환경교육 프로그램 지정제는 수준 높은 환경교육 프로그램 개발, 보급을 위해 친환경성, 우수성, 안전성을 심사해 환경부 장관이 지정하는 국가 지정 제도이다.
‘초록이 탄소중립 여행’은 탄소중립과 자연 생태계의 관계에 대해 알아보고 테마공원의 봄과 가을을 느끼며 체험하는 프로그램이다.
3월부터 5월, 9월부터 11월까지 초등학생을 대상으로 나무, 식물, 곤충, 동물, 단풍, 씨앗 등 월별 주제에 맞는 △이론수업 △공원 생태계 관찰 △만들기 체험으로 진행된다.
‘우리 가족 새싹놀이터’는 초등학생 자녀 동반 가족 텃밭 교육을 통해 탄소중립과 친환경 텃밭의 중요성에 대해 배우는 체험 프로그램이다.
4월 선정한 가족을 대상으로 11월까지 총 6개월 동안 수업을 진행하며 수업일 외에도 자율 경작으로 내가 키운 작물을 수확하는 즐거움도 느낄 수 있다.
두 프로그램 모두 김해탄소중립체험관 누리집에서 신청 후 참여할 수 있다.
박성욱 기후대응과장은 “기후변화테마공원 교육 프로그램 가운데 두 개나 우수성을 인정받았다”며 “테마공원의 자연환경을 활용한 차별화된 환경교육 프로그램을 지속적으로 개발해 탄소중립 공감대 형성과 실천 확산에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
