[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 26일 시청 대회의실에서 시민위원 50여명이 참석한 가운데 제3기 김해시먹거리보장시민위원회 위촉식과 2025년 정기총회를 개최했다.

3기 위원회는 공동위원장 체계로 시민대표는 박봉성(65) 김해공공급식생산자협의회장이 선출됐으며 행정대표는 부시장이 당연직으로 참여한다.

먹거리보장시민위원회는 시민 먹거리 기본권 보장을 목적으로 구성된 민·관 협치 거버넌스로 2021년 1기 위원회가 출범했다.

시민위원들은 5개 분과(먹거리정책, 로컬푸드, 공공급식, 먹거리생산, 식생활교육)로 나눠져 워크숍, 포럼, 교육 등으로 시 공공정책에 주체적으로 참여하고 있다.

김해시 관계자는 “3기 위원회 출범으로 우리시 지속가능한 먹거리 정책이 한층 더 발전할 것이며 시민들의 건강과 지역 농업의 발전을 위해 계속해서 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 김해시는 2024년 농림축산식품부와 소비자시민모임의 전국 지자체 대상 지역먹거리 지수 평가에서 우수상을 수상했으며 지역먹거리 지수 A등급으로 5년 연속 영남권 내 최고 등급을 받았다.
