이에 더불어민주당 김교흥 국회의원(인천서구갑, 국회 산업통상자원중소벤처위원회)이 글로벌 탄소중립시대를 선도하기위한 ‘RE100클러스터 3법’을 대표발의 했다고 17일 밝혔다.
김교흥 의원이 대표 발의한 ‘RE100클러스터 3법’은 ▲신규 산업단지·특구를 조성할 때 RE100 이행계획을 도입하는 ‘탄소중립기본법’ ▲신규 산업단지에 RE100 설비 설치 지원 근거 마련하는 ‘신재생에너지법’ ▲ RE100 우수 지자체에 특별교부금 신설하는 ‘지방세특례법’이다.
RE100은 기업이 사용하는 전력 100%를 재생에너지로 충당하겠다는 글로벌 캠페인으로, 주요 바이어들이 공급망 참여 조건으로 요구하면서 기업 경쟁력의 핵심 요소로 떠오르고 있다.
