센터는 임신 준비부터 출산, 육아까지 전 생애주기에 걸친 통합 건강서비스를 한 곳에서 제공하는 ‘맞춤형 원스톱 건강지원 공간’으로 운영된다. 임신 전 건강관리와 난임상담, 의료비 지원은 물론, 임산부를 위한 주기별 산전검사, 영양·운동관리, 산모·신생아 건강관리 등 다양한 프로그램이 마련돼 있다.
특히 임신 초기에는 초기 검사와 엽산제를, 중기에는 기형아 검사, 임신성 당뇨검사 및 철분제를, 말기에는 막달 검사 등을 무료로 지원하며, 고위험 임산부 및 35세 이상 임산부에 대한 의료비 지원도 확대됐다.
