[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 함양군은 유네스코 세계문화유산으로 등재된 남계서원에서 일두 정여창(1450~1504) 선생의 탄신 575주년을 기념하는 ‘일두선비문화제’를 지난 31일 개최했다고 밝혔다.
(사)일두기념사업회(이사장 정현태)가 주관한 이번 행사는 조선 초기 대표적 성리학자이자 ‘오현(五賢)’으로 불리는 일두 정여창 선생의 학문과 덕행을 기리고, 그 정신을 현대적으로 계승·발전시키기 위한 자리로 마련됐다.
이날 행사에서는 전통 제례와 기념식, 시극 및 시 낭송 콜라보, 탄신 축하공연, 디카시 발표, 전통문화체험 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 진행됐다.
또한 전국 디카시 공모전과 학생 그림 공모전의 수상작 전시가 함께 열려 참가자들의 눈길을 끌었다.
디지털 시문학의 새로운 장르로 주목받고 있는 디카시 발표회도 진행되어 현대인의 감성과 일두 선생의 사상이 조화롭게 어우러지는 시간을 마련했다.
진병영 군수는 “이번 선비문화제가 일두 정여창 선생의 고귀한 사상과 선비정신을 되새기고, 그 가치를 오늘의 삶에서 실천하는 계기가 되기를 바란다”며, “이 뜻깊은 행사를 통해 우리 함양의 정신문화가 다음 세대에게도 자연스럽게 이어지길 기대한다”라고 전했다.
이어 6월 1일에는 가족 단위 참가자 40여 명이 참여한 가운데 일두 선생 관련 유적지를 탐방하는 체험 행사도 진행돼, 참가자들에게 선현의 발자취를 직접 느껴보는 뜻깊은 기회를 제공했다.
한편, 함양군은 일두 정여창 선생을 비롯한 지역의 선현들을 재조명하고, 문화 자산을 활용한 다양한 프로그램을 통해 선비정신의 현대적 계승에 힘쓰고 있다.
