(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 지난 14일 ‘210, 부천톡톡’ 청사 견학 프로그램을 통해 부천시청을 방문한 북한이탈주민과의 소통 자리를 마련했으며 이날은 2024년 제정된 ‘북한이탈주민의 날’로, 행사의 의미를 더했다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 이날 행사에 참석한 북한이탈주민은 경기서부하나센터를 통해 부천시에 정착한 시민 15명으로 구성됐다.
경기서부하나센터는 하나원을 수료한 북한이탈주민의 지역사회 정착을 지원하는 기관으로 특히 센터장을 맡은 김성림 씨는 북한이탈주민 출신 최초의 센터장이다.
이날 참석자들은 부천아트센터, 산소정원 등 주요 시설을 견학했으며, 그중 부천아트센터 콘서트홀에서는 높은 관심 속에 다양한 질의응답이 이어졌다.
이후 소통 시간에서는 부천시장 표창 수여, 경기서부하나센터 활동 소개, 북한이탈주민들의 정착 사례 공유 등이 진행됐으며, 북한이탈주민 지원 확대 등 관련 제안도 나왔다.
조용익 부천시장은 “부천시에 정착하기까지 북한이탈주민이 겪었던 다양한 경험을 느낄 수 있는 시간이었다”며 “북한이탈주민이 정착 과정에 어려움이 없도록 실질적인 지원 정책을 꾸준히 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
부천시는 앞으로도 북한이탈주민이 지역사회에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 실질적인 지원과 다양한 협력 체계를 통해 소통의 기회를 마련해 나갈 계획이다.
