[브레이크뉴그=배종태 기자] 박형준 부산시장이 지난 13일 집중호우로 침수 피해가 발생한 사상~하단 도시철도 공사 현장을 직접 방문해 현장 안전관리 실태를 점검하고 재발 방지 대책 마련에 나섰다.
부산시는 17일 오후 2시 30분, 박형준 시장이 사상구 사상교차로 인근의 사상~하단선 도시철도 501정거장 공사 현장을 찾아 침수 피해 구간에 대한 집중 점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 이번 점검에는 부산교통공사 사장, 사상구 도시건설국장 등 관계 기관 주요 인사들도 함께했다.
앞서 13일 밤 11시 40분경, 누적 강우량 190mm를 넘는 집중호우가 쏟아지면서 사상교차로 인근 501정거장 공사 현장에 우수가 다량 유입됐다. 빗물은 복공판과 자재투입구를 통해 지하로 흘러들어 승강장과 본선 구간 약 800미터가 침수되는 사고로 이어졌으며, 다행히 인명피해는 발생하지 않았다.
이날 현장 점검에서 박 시장은 호우에 따른 사고 발생 경위를 보고받고, 유사 사고 방지를 위한 대책 마련과 현장 안전관리 강화를 당부했다. 특히 박 시장은 “침수 구간의 신속한 복구는 물론, 향후 집중호우에도 인적·물적 피해가 발생하지 않도록 철저한 현장 점검과 상황 관리에 총력을 기울이겠다”고 강조했다.
한편, 사상~하단 도시철도 사업은 2017년 착공해 2026년 준공을 목표로 진행 중이다. 총 사업비 8,317억 원(국비 4,594억 원, 시비 3,723억 원)이 투입되는 이 노선은 부산 서부권의 대중교통 접근성을 높이기 위한 주요 현안 사업으로, 향후 지역 교통망 개선에 큰 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.
