[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산과 호찌민이 자매도시 결연 30주년을 맞아 주부산 베트남 총영사관이 문을 열었다.
13일 부산시는 또 럼(To Lam) 베트남 공산당 총서기와 응오 프엉리(Ngo Phuong Ly) 여사를 비롯한 베트남 고위급 대표단 100여 명이 부산을 공식 방문했다고 밝혔다.
이번 방문은 1992년 한·베트남 수교 이후 33년 만에 주부산 베트남 총영사관이 개관하는 것을 기념하고, 1995년 체결된 부산-호찌민 자매도시 협력 30주년을 축하하기 위해 마련됐다.
총영사관은 해운대구 벽산 E센텀클래스원에 개관했으며, 향후 해양물류, 첨단산업, 문화관광 등 다양한 분야에서 부산과 베트남 간 인적·경제·문화 교류가 한층 활발해질 것으로 기대된다.
이날 오전 10시 45분 롯데호텔 부산에서는 ‘주부산 베트남 총영사관 출범식 및 부산-호찌민 자매결연 30주년 기념식’이 열렸다. 행사에는 또 럼 총서기, 박형준 부산시장, 안성민 부산시의회 의장, 호찌민시 당서기, 도안 프엉란 초대 총영사를 비롯해 양국 경제인 등 300여 명이 참석했다.
기념식에서는 양국 대표의 축사와 함께 부산시립무용단의 진도북춤, 호찌민시 전통음악 오케스트라와 연꽃극장 공연 등 다채로운 문화공연이 펼쳐졌다.

박 시장과의 접견에서 또 럼 총서기는 “과학기술, 위성도시 개발, 물류·상업센터, 인프라 및 관광 시설 건설 등에서 부산과 베트남이 실질적 협력을 강화할 수 있는 전략적 시점”이라고 강조했다.
박 시장은 “한국은 베트남의 제1위 투자국이며, 부산과 호찌민은 지난 30년간 우호와 신뢰를 바탕으로 특별한 관계를 이어왔다”며 “이번 계기가 공동 번영의 미래를 여는 새로운 도약이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
오후 3시 15분부터는 롯데호텔에서 호찌민 무역투자촉진센터 주관의 ‘부산-호찌민 비즈니스 포럼’이 열려 양 도시 경제인들이 투자·통상 환경을 소개하고 기업 발표를 통해 협력 방안을 논의했다.
이 자리에서는 베트남 국영 종합 개발기업 베카멕스와 부산항만공사 간 항만 인프라·물류·스마트 산업 생태계 구축 협력을 포함해 총 5건의 협약이 체결됐다.
베트남 방문단은 부산 주요 시설을 둘러보며 향후 교류 협력 방향을 논의했고, 박 시장은 “이번 방문과 행사들이 지난 30년간의 우정을 더욱 굳건히 하고 경제·문화 교류를 한층 발전시키는 역사적인 계기가 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.

또한, 지난 15년간 주부산 베트남 명예총영사로 활동하며 양국 교류에 기여한 박수관 전 명예총영사에게 감사를 전했다.

Busan and Ho Chi Minh City marked the 30th anniversary of their sister city partnership with the opening of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Busan.
On the 13th, the Busan Metropolitan Government announced that General Secretary To Lam of the Communist Party of Vietnam, accompanied by his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly and over 100 senior Vietnamese delegates, made an official visit to Busan.
This visit was organized to commemorate the opening of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Busan -- the first in 33 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam in 1992 -- and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Busan-Ho Chi Minh City sister city agreement signed in 1995.
The Consulate General is located in the Buksan E Centum Class One building in Haeundae-gu. It is expected to further boost people-to-people exchanges as well as economic and cultural cooperation between Busan and Vietnam in various fields such as maritime logistics, high-tech industries, and tourism.
At 10:45 a.m. on the same day, the “Opening Ceremony of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Busan and the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Busan-Ho Chi Minh Sister City Partnership” was held at Lotte Hotel Busan.
The event was attended by General Secretary To Lam, Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon, Busan City Council Chairman Ahn Sung-min, the Communist Party Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City, inaugural Consul General Doan Phuong Lan, as well as around 300 business leaders from both countries.
The ceremony featured congratulatory speeches from representatives of both sides, followed by cultural performances including the Jindo Buk Dance by the Busan Municipal Dance Company, and traditional music and stage performances by the Ho Chi Minh City Orchestra and Lotus Theater.
In a meeting with Mayor Park, General Secretary To Lam emphasized, “This is a strategic time for Busan and Vietnam to strengthen practical cooperation in science and technology, satellite city development, logistics and commercial centers, as well as infrastructure and tourism facility construction.”
Mayor Park responded, “Korea is Vietnam’s largest investor, and Busan and Ho Chi Minh City have maintained a special relationship based on friendship and trust for the past 30 years. I hope this occasion will serve as a new leap forward toward a future of shared prosperity.”
At 3:15 p.m., the “Busan-Ho Chi Minh City Business Forum” was held at Lotte Hotel, hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Trade and Investment Promotion. Business leaders from both cities introduced investment and trade environments and discussed cooperation plans through corporate presentations.
Five agreements were signed, including one between Becamex IDC Corp., Vietnam’s state-owned general development company, and the Busan Port Authority to cooperate on building port infrastructure, logistics systems, and smart industry ecosystems.
The Vietnamese delegation also toured major facilities in Busan and discussed future directions for cooperation. Mayor Park stated, “This visit and the related events will serve as a historic opportunity to further solidify the friendship built over the past 30 years and to advance economic and cultural exchanges.”
He also expressed his appreciation to Park Soo-kwan, former Honorary Consul General of Vietnam in Busan, for his contributions to bilateral exchanges over the past 15 years.
