【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구(구청장 류규하)가 한방문화 기반 공예·굿즈 시제품을 개발한다고 2일 밝혔다.
구는 동산애 이음센터 한옥마을공방을 위탁 운영하는 동산동·약령시골목길 마을관리사회적협동조합(이사장 이주현)을 통해 지역 전통 상권의 스토리에 현대적 감각을 더한 특화 상품 개발을 진행하고 있다.
이는 조합이 지난 5월 ‘대구시 사회적 경제기업 브랜드 강화 지원사업’과 ‘마을기업 기초패키지 지원사업’에 선정됨에 따른 것이다.
첫 제품으로 인센스와 전통 약탕기 모양 인센스 홀더가 개발 중으로 10월 공개를 목표로 하고 있다. 해당 제품은 중구 도시재생지원센터의 ‘마을굿즈 제작자 양성과정’에서 주민 아이디어를 바탕으로 제작되며, 약령시 한방 상권과 연계해 현대인에게 친숙한 디자인으로 선보일 예정이다.
제품 제작은 동산애 이음센터를 중심으로 지역 디자인·제품 개발 전문업체와 협업해 진행된다.
이주현 이사장은 “스트레스 해소와 힐링을 중시하는 현대인 수요에 맞춘 건강·웰빙 제품으로 지역 일자리 창출과 주민 참여 확대에 앞장서겠다”고 밝혔다.
류규하 중구청장은 “협동조합이 전통과 현대를 잇는 우수한 제품을 개발하고 있는 만큼, 구청에서도 지속적인 지원을 이어가겠다”며 “지역 공동체가 자립하고 성장할 수 있는 성공 모델을 함께 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu Jung-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyu-ha) announced on the 2nd that it is developing prototypes of crafts and goods based on traditional Korean medicine culture.
The district is developing specialized products that incorporate a modern sensibility into the stories of traditional local businesses through the Dongsan-dong and Yakryeongsi Alleyway Community Management Social Cooperative (Chairman Lee Ju-hyeon), which operates the Dongsan-ae Ieum Center Hanok Village Workshop.
This development follows the cooperative's selection in May for the "Daegu City Social Economy Enterprise Brand Enhancement Support Project" and the "Village Enterprise Basic Package Support Project."
The first products, an incense stick and a traditional herbal medicine pot-shaped incense holder, are currently under development and are scheduled for release in October. These products will be developed based on ideas from residents at the Jung-gu Urban Regeneration Support Center's "Village Goods Maker Training Program." They will be presented in a design relatable to modern consumers, in conjunction with the Yakryeongsi Oriental Medicine Commercial District.
Production will be conducted by the Dongsan-ae Ieum Center in collaboration with local design and product development companies.
Chairman Lee Ju-hyun stated, "We will take the lead in creating local jobs and expanding resident participation by developing health and wellness products tailored to the needs of modern people who value stress relief and healing."
Jung-gu District Mayor Ryu Gyu-ha stated, "As the cooperative develops excellent products that bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, the district office will continue to provide support. Together, we will create a successful model that enables local communities to become self-reliant and grow."
