파주시는 지난 9월부터 10월 사이 운정 일부 지역에서 발생한 수돗물 탁수 사고 피해 가구를 대상으로 수도요금을 20% 감면한다고 밝혔다.

이는 지난 9월과 10월 두 차례에 걸쳐 운정1동(가람마을, 별하람마을)과 운정4동(야당동, 상지석동) 등 운정 지역에서 발생한 수돗물 탁수 사고에 대한 후속 조치로, 시는 11월분 수도요금 고지서에 감면된 금액을 반영할 예정이라고 설명했다.
수도요금 감면 대상은 9월과 10월 탁수 유출 사고를 입은 공동주택과 단독·다가구주택, 상가 등으로, 해당 가구는 별도의 신청 절차 없이 피해를 입은 해당 월의 수도 사용량의 20%를 일괄 감면받게 된다.
한편 시는 수도요금 감면과 별도로 수돗물 탁수 피해 가구를 대상으로 피해 보상 절차를 진행 중이다.
9월 발생 사고는 11월 23일까지, 10월 발생 사고는 11월 30일까지 피해 신청을 받아 정수기 및 샤워기 여과기 교체비, 저수조 청소비, 영업손해비용, 진료 및 약품 구입비 등에 대해 순차적으로 피해 보상을 시행할 예정이다.
