전주시는 올해 문화체육관광부가 주관한 '2026년 생활체육시설 확충 지원사업' 공모에 최종 선정돼 국비 18억 원을 확보했다고 5일 밝혔다.
오는 2029년까지 국비 등 총 60억 원을 투입, 송천동 실외 인라인경기장을 대상으로 날씨와 관계없이 1년 내내 훈련할 수 있도록 '전천후 인라인 전지훈련 및 다목적 공간 조성' 사업이 추진된다.
특히 기초보강 공사와 지붕 설치 및 관람석 보수 등 주요 기반 시설이 새롭게 정비된다.
각종 인라인 대회는 물론 대규모 전시ㆍ공연ㆍ축제 등 다양한 행사 개최가 가능한 다목적 공간으로도 활용할 계획이다.
