파주시가 경기도 내 농정 분야에서 2년 연속 우수기관으로 선정되며 농업 경쟁력을 입증했다.
파주시는 지난 7일 수원시 국립농업박물관에서 개최된 '제30회 경기도 농업인의 날 기념식'에서 '2025년 경기도 시군 농정업무평가'에서 우수상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.
이는 지난해에 이어 2년 연속 우수기관으로 선정된 것으로, 경기도지사 표창과 함께 900만 원의 시상금을 받았다.

경기도 시군 농정업무평가는 매년 도내 시군의 농정시책 추진 현황을 점검하고 경기도 농업의 경쟁력 강화를 위해 실시되는 평가다.
경기도는 시군을 도농형과 도시형 2개 그룹으로 구분해 35개 분야를 종합 평가한 뒤 우수 지자체를 선정하고 있다.
파주시는 이번 평가에서 ▲외국인 계절근로자 프로그램 운영 ▲농어민 기회소득 지원 ▲친환경 농산물 생산 확대 ▲축산업 선진화 추진 ▲로컬푸드직매장 활성화 ▲농산물 직거래 확대 등 다양한 분야에서 골고루 높은 점수를 받았다.
특히 외국인 계절근로자 프로그램의 안정적 운영과 친환경 농산물 생산 기반 확대, 로컬푸드 유통 체계 구축 등이 우수 사례로 평가받았다.
이병직 파주시농업기술센터소장은 "2년 연속 우수기관으로 선정된 것은 파주시 농업인 모두가 함께 이뤄낸 소중한 성과"라며 "앞으로도 고품질 농산물 생산을 지원하고 농축산업 소득 증대를 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
한편 파주시는 이번 수상을 계기로 농업인 지원 정책을 더욱 강화하고, 지속 가능한 농업 발전을 위한 다양한 시책을 추진할 계획이다.
