고양소방서가 제63주년 소방의 날을 맞아 소방공무원과 유공자들의 노고를 기리는 뜻깊은 자리를 마련했다.
고양소방서는 지난 7일 본서 대회의실에서 '제63주년 소방의 날' 기념행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 각종 재난 현장에서 시민의 생명과 재산 보호를 위해 헌신한 소방공무원과 유공자들의 노고를 격려하고, 안전문화 확산과 자긍심을 고취하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 행사에는 경기도의회 이경혜, 명재성, 정동혁 도의원을 비롯해 정책자문위원, 소방공무원, 의용소방대원 등 90여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.
행사는 국민의례를 시작으로 소방의 날 기념 영상 상영, 유공자 포상, 축사, 기념촬영 순으로 진행됐다.
재난 현장에서 공로를 세운 소방공무원과 민간인들에게는 각종 표창이 수여됐다.
특히 이번 행사에서는 지역사회 공헌 기관에 대한 감사 전달이 눈길을 끌었다.
어려운 외국인 환자에게 치료비를 지원한 '휴메디병원'과 기부금을 통해 소방안전시설 보강에 기여한 '스타필드 고양점'에 감사패가 전달됐다.
이는 지역사회와 함께하는 따뜻한 나눔 실천에 대한 고마움을 표하는 의미였다.
박기완 고양소방서장은 "소방의 날은 시민의 생명과 재산을 지키기 위해 헌신한 소방공무원뿐 아니라 각자의 자리에서 관심과 애정을 보내준 모든 분들의 노고를 되새기는 뜻깊은 자리"라며 "앞으로도 더욱 안전한 고양시를 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
