【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 19일 오전 9시 30분, 교육청 회의실에서 ‘2025년도 인문도서 기부금 전달식’을 열고 모금된 기부금 862만 원을 지역 내 29개 학교에 전달했다.
이날 전달식에는 강은희 교육감과 문희영 초록우산 어린이재단 대구경북권역 본부장, 대구경동초와 월배중학교 교장 등이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.
이번 기부금은 학생들의 인문학적 소양과 문해력 향상을 위해 지역사회와 교육공동체가 함께 참여하는 ‘인문도서 기부 운동’을 통해 마련됐다. 지난해 9월부터 올해 8월까지 1년간 학부모와 교직원 등 191명이 자발적으로 참여해 기부에 힘을 보탰다.
기부금은 초록우산 어린이재단을 통해 각 학교별로 지정 기탁되며, 학생들의 독서와 인문교육에 필요한 도서 구매에 쓰일 예정이다.
강은희 교육감은 “학생들이 책을 통해 다양한 시각을 배우고, 세상을 깊이 있게 바라보는 힘을 기르는 것이 중요하다”며 “인문도서 기부 운동이 학교 현장에 따뜻한 독서 문화를 확산시키는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
대구시교육청은 앞으로도 교육공동체와 협력해 학생 중심의 인문교육을 강화하고, 다양한 교육기부 프로그램을 꾸준히 이어갈 계획이다.
